"Leaves of three, leave it be" is likely how most of us remember poison ivy identification. If you react to poison ivy, it's nasty. Red, itchy rash that spreads to any area of the body touched by the plant or by the oils on the plant. If you walk through it and then untie your shoelaces, the oil can be spread from your laces to your hands. We can react up to 3 days later so if you don't know you've contacted it, the rash can show up anywhere you touched before washing your hands. This is why we hear the horror stories of rashes where the sun don't shine. Yikes.
Poison ivy is listed as a noxious weed in Ontario, which exempts it from the cosmetic pesticide ban and allows us to treat it. Price depends on the size of the patch but if you can give us an approximate measurement, we'd be happy to get you a free quote!
